Aloha Again!

So I work at Pac Sun, and the other day a few girls came in. These girls couldn't have been older than 11, maybe 12. They were totally unsupervised, had freakin handbags (like seriously, i didnt have one till i was 15), brand new cell phones, and money to burn. And to top it off they were talking to each other like they were in their 20s! I dont understand why these little girls feel the need to grow up so quickly. It's so sad really. As I helped them, I suddenly thought of the magic of Disney. If these little girls were in Orlando or Anaheim at a Disney Theme Park, I guarantee they'd be all made up in their Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique best and dancing around Fantasyland. Then it made me smile to think that I and all of my DCPers are going to be a part of that magic very soon. I hope that those girls get some pixie dust in their lives before its too late. Lord knows I went to HS and college with one trainwreck after another. And heck, maybe there is never a "too late" I have seen a 40 year old man cry at the sight of Cinderella Castle on his first trip to the Magic Kingdom!

That said, I have 10 days until I fly down! and 12 untill check in!!! I am unbeliveably excited! However I have yet to pack. BIIGGG UH OH...considering I am flying from NJ.

Have a magical day everyone!

  1. So true, girly! My cousins are the same way...too cool for school (or Disney). It's sad that when I go with the family to Disney, I am the one who enjoys it the most (besides my 4 yr old brother), my 12 yr old and 16 yr old cousins are completely uninterested...it's sad!
